Little Egypt – Haunted Cemetery in Bremen, Indiana

December 21st, 2010 by Scottish B&B

A little history of Bremen, Indiana includes “Little Egypt” a haunted cemetery (actually listed on google under “haunted cemeteries”). We had guests come and stay with us just to visit the haunted cemetery.  They found the cemetery at night, got out of the car, got scared, ran back to the car and left.  But the experience of the quaint town of Bremen, and to say they visited a haunted cemetery was worth the trip.

Scottish Bed and Breakfast, Where the Name Came From

November 4th, 2010 by Scottish B&B

When Homer and I were planning to open the B&B in September, 2004, we needed a name.  It was a no brainer that we named the Inn after our four (4) at that time, beloved Scottish Terriers.  Three of the four are retired champions, three girls and one boy. Izzy, was our very first “Scottie” we loved her so much, we wanted more of them. Ivee was home grown, and Izzy, Kooky and Lexi came from Barbary Kennels in Homer, Michigan. We lost Izzy to cancer on July 19, 2008.  Ivee and Kooky are wheaten Scottish Terriers and the joy of my life. Lexi is black and the oldest now. Black is the basic Scottish Terrier color even though they do come in brindle and wheaten. The Scottish Terriers were bred to destroy vermin like foxes, badgers and other small mammals found in the rough Scotland and Great Britain countryside. They are tough, brave little dogs, do not shed, and are very loyal to their families.  They like to greet the guests and get tummy rubs, even though they are not allowed to roam around the B&B. Come…. stay…and pet one of our scotties. www.scottishbb.com

Policies and Information

November 17th, 2009 by Scottish B&B

Daily lodging rates:

Daily lodging rates $130 to $205 + tax, based on single/double occupancy

Deposit and Refund:

Because of our small size, cancellations affect us significantly. A last-minute cancellation leaves little chance of filling the reserved lodging space. For this reason, the Inn maintains a strict cancellation policy. A full deposit is required for one-night stays. A 50% deposit is required for two nights or longer stays. A gift certificate will be issued only if notice is received by our office no less than 14 days (30 days in July and August) prior to the intended date of arrival and must be paid in full.

A service charge of $30.00 per night, will be deducted from the gift certificate. Guests who check out before the last day of the reservation will be required to pay for the days reserved in full. We realize that situations may arise necessitating cancellation within the 14 day limit (30 days in July and August and September), and do sympathize, however we must maintain our business policy due to limited season and high accommodation demands. We must have a deposit on all rooms in order to guarantee the reservation.

Please Note: Special event weekends, (ND games & festival weekends) will require a minimum 2 night stay and observe a 30 day cancellation policy.
