July 10th, 2015 by Corey A. Edwards

Amish Acres Arts & Crafts Festival 2015The 53rd annual Amish Acres Arts & Crafts Festival is known as one of America’s premier arts & crafts festivals scheduled for August 6th through 9th, 2015 – where will you be?

If you love unique, handcrafted quality and style then I hope your answer to the above question was “at the Amish Acres Arts & Crafts Festival!” This incredible event involves well over 300 separate vendors from nearly 250 cities in over 30 states offering some of the most fantastic and diverse arts, crafts, and other handmade goods.

Beyond oggling and buying items from the artisans at the Amish Acres Arts & Crafts Festival, you also have the opportunity to vote on the best of what you see for the annual Amish Acres Arts & Crafts Festival Competition. Judges and festival goers alike cast their votes for the best of the best at the festival. Once the votes are in, the winners will receive awards in the form of cash prizes, including two $1,000 Best of Show Purchase Prizes for two and three dimensional work. Exciting!

And that’s not all – Amish Acres Arts & Crafts Festival 2015 is also set to include continuous, live, family friendly entertainment on four stages. You’ll also find other forms of entertainment at the festival, distractions and entertainments including square dancing, line dancing, clogging, Swan Paddle Boats, clowns and jugglers, and more.

Along with plenty of tempting handcrafted items to buy, music to dance to and other entertainments, the Amish Acres Arts & Crafts Festival would not be complete without … food! You’ll find delectable offerings, such as hamburgers, hotdogs, fresh pies, homemade bread, candies, pickles, roast pork, homemade ice cream, sassafras iced tea, and too many other things to mention here.

So, now that you know, what are you waiting for?

The 51st Annual Amish Acres Arts & Crafts Festival runs from August 1-4, 2013 in Nappanee, Indiana.

Amish Acres barn An art competition, live entertainment and an Indiana Amish Country setting combine to form the annual Amish Acres Arts & Crafts Festival.

This event is ideal for art lovers wanting to combine their appreciation for arts and crafts with exploration of the Indiana Amish Country.  The outdoor festival and market takes place at the Amish Acres farm’s pond.

Not content to rest on the artistic laurels of last year’s golden anniversary, the theme of the 2013 Amish Acres Arts & Crafts Festival is “Proud as a Peacock’s Plumage: The Colorful World of Art.” The festival draws its inspiration for the theme from the “It’s A-Peelin’ Apple Art,” an outdoor exhibit created by local artists and featuring a four foot tall apple sculpture of a peacock in full plumage.  This Amish Acres historic Kuhn’s Apple Cider Mill, which is ranked in the Top 10 Cider Mills in America.

Attendance of this event is expected to be sky high once again, so it is recommended you reserve your lodging right away.  Scottish Bed & Breakfast is just down the road a few miles from the festival and currently has rooms available through the festival weekend.
