Itinerary for a Perfect Weekend Getaway

July 6th, 2013 by insideout

Are you ready to take a little vacation this summer? Need to break up your routine and do something different, yet relaxing and easy to plan? Look no further! The Scottish B&B in Bremen has you covered! See our itinerary below for treating yourself, your partner or another close friend or family member to a great weekend.

Friday Night:
Arrive at the inn and check in. You are sure to be hungry after your drive, so we recommend ordering our soup & sandwich dinner. For $12.50, enjoy a nice sandwich and homemade soups – like tomato or chicken noodle – with chips, drink and a homemade dessert.

We know that after a long drive you just can’t bear to get back in your car yet – so let us know in advance if you would like us to have a soup and sandwich dinner ready for your arrival! Sit poolside or at the outdoor patio with a cold drink and a hot meal to catch up. Take a swim and cool off! Or, pop in a DVD from our library or watch TV in your room.

Saturday:
Start your day with an amazing breakfast from the Scottish B&B. Then, spend Saturday exploring the area – perhaps you would like to spend the day at Potato Creek Park, just 15 minutes from the inn. The Park has almost 4000 acres for hiking, picnicking and swimming. Plus, there are many paved bike trails that are very popular with our guests!

Saturday Night:

Treat yourself!

Treat yourself!

Get an early meal – you could try the Wooden Peel in Bremen. We like the Wooden Peel for pizza and beers on a Friday night, plus it is only a five minute drive from our inn. Then head back to the B&B for a fun filled summer’s night with Music Under the Stars!

We’ve got local sensation Double Standard playing live music on the patio from 7 – 11 p.m. on Saturday July 20, August 24 and September 7. Double Standard is a two-man band playing covers of favorites from the 60s all the way up to today’s popular music. Enjoy warm weather, great music and new people!

Sunday:
Before checking out, enjoy another wonderful breakfast. Our recipes use fresh Amish farm eggs from grain fed chickens and hormone free bacon.

This is just one small example of how to spend a weekend in Indiana Amish Country. We hope to see you soon!
